We have many patients that travel to Indiana for Dr. Harper’s beautiful surgical outcomes. In order to obtain Dr. Harper as your surgeon, you need to follow the below steps:

1. SCHEDULE YOUR CONSULTATION
Email rhonda@sharpersurgery.com for details on setting up a Zoom consultation.

2. VIDEO CONSULTATION
We will set up a time for you to have a one-on-one video conference call with Dr. Harper. He will perform a thorough consultation, discussing your medical history, lifestyle, esthetic concerns and the ins-and-outs of surgery.

3. SCHEDULE YOUR PROCEDURE
Once you have completed your consultation, our Medical Assistant will give you a quote for your procedure and help you schedule a date for your surgery. A deposit of 10% of your surgery fees is required to book your surgery date.

4. READ AND SIGN
After you have scheduled your surgery, we will send you a packet containing pre and post operative instructions, as well as consent forms for your procedure. PLEASE read all the documents carefully, initial each page, and sign them. If you have any questions, please email or call us. Dr. Harper will review the instructions with you prior to surgery.

5. REQUIRED CLEARANCE/LABS
You may need a medical clearance from your doctor.. We recommend you schedule your tests or an appointment with your doctor as soon as you schedule your surgery so you have sufficient time to be seen. The tests must be done 14 days before the day of your surgery so that there is sufficient time to obtain and review the results. The exact tests that must be ordered will be determined by your age, general health and planned procedures. We will send you the list of required lab work and medical clearance after your consultation.

If you are considering breast surgery, you MAY need to have a mammogram. This must be arranged in advance. If you have had a mammogram, it must have been done within the previous 12 months to be valid. You will need to send us the mammogram report.

You will need prescription medications after your surgery. These medications will be filled the day before surgery. You will obtain them in Avon, Indiana upon your arrival.

6. TRAVEL PLANS
When making your travel plans, you will need to arrive at least one full day prior to your procedure and see the doctor for your in person pre-operative visit. We will email you consent forms and instructions prior to surgery which Dr. Harper or his staff will review with you at your pre-operative appointment. The pre-operative appointment is around 30 minutes and will include pre- and post-photos, going over consent forms and answering any further questions that you have.

You will need to stay a week in Indiana before you can return home. The exact amount of time depends on your procedure and how far you are traveling. You will need to have an adult with you throughout your stay. You will return at the one week mark for your one week post-operative visit.

7. CONCIERGE TRAVEL ACCOMMODATIONS & HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS
SHarper Plastic Surgery is proud to offer a concierge travel service in which we will transport you to and from the airport, take you to your pre- and one week post operative appointments, take you to pick up prescriptions and transport you to and from your surgery. Our travel accommodations include a one week stay at an Indianapolis based hotel that is within miles of the Surgery Center where you will have your surgery. Our travel package, including both hotel stay and concierge transportation is an additional $2,500.

PLEASE NOTE: THE SURGERY DEPOSIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE. IF YOU CANCEL WITHOUT RESCHEDULING YOUR SURGICAL PROCEDURE YOU WILL LOSE THE DEPOSIT.
