Introducing Xeomin®

While it is formulated using the Clostridium Botulinum bacterium – which is also used to prepare Botox® and Dysport – the process used to make Xeomin® is different. Unlike other anti-wrinkle injectables, Xeomin® is formulated using the pure incobotulinum toxin A, without the addition of any other proteins. It is the purest form of the botulinum toxin.
How Xeomin® Works
Your skin develops wrinkles when your brain sends signals that stimulate contraction in your facial muscles. Over time, these wrinkles and lines deepen and become more visible. Once injected into your treatment site, Xeomin® temporarily prevents the muscles from receiving the neurological signals that promote facial contraction. Essentially, Xeomin® is a neurotoxin that prevents further development of wrinkles by preventing facial contractions temporarily.

Caring for Yourself after Xeomin®
Xeomin® is a low-maintenance treatment. Our expert injectors will give you specific instructions on exercise and other lifestyle modification you may need to make for the 24 hours directly after your injectable treatment. Results from treatments typically last around three months, at which time you would want to get re-treated.

How Many Sessions Do You Need?
Typically, a single session is needed to complete the Xeomin® treatment. Once you come in for a consultation at our Indianapolis skincare clinic, our experts will evaluate your cosmetic requirements and medical history and determine the number of vials to be used. They’ll also choose the treatment sites to address.
The entire Xeomin® injection treatment takes less than 30 minutes to complete. You can return to work immediately. The treated areas of your face may look a little inflamed and puffy because of the injections, but this lasts for just a few hours. Any tenderness or swelling will subside soon.
