SHarper Balance

Customized Care for Acne, Pigment, and Melasma

Developed from years of clinical expertise, these thoughtfully curated treatment plans focus on combining the right services for optimal results rather than relying on single treatments. Packages include 10% savings compared to a la carte pricing, with 15% savings available for members.

Designed for well-controlled acne, this plan targets uneven texture, discoloration, and lingering scarring. It helps you move past breakouts and shift your focus toward lasting skin confidence.

Melasma is challenging to treat and often requires ongoing care, as it can fluctuate with hormonal changes and seasonal shifts. It is also triggered by heat, which means many traditional pigment treatments, like certain lasers, are not always the best option. Sharper Balance was created as a targeted plan to address melasma and persistent pigmentation, helping restore a more even, radiant complexion over time. For best results, treatments are spaced about every three months so we are consistently targeting and managing pigment. This steady approach is key to keeping melasma under control.

This plan can also be paired with the Sharper Skin Society membership to help maintain your results and keep your skin looking its best year-round.

Deep Chemical Peel x 2

This medical grade peel is designed to accelerate cell turnover, improve pigmentation, and refine overall skin texture. It is especially effective for conditions like melasma, where controlled exfoliation and consistent treatment are key to managing pigment without the use of heat based therapies.

Preparation:

To optimize your results, we recommend preparing your skin with medical grade skincare, ideally including a retinol, for at least one month prior to treatment. Retinol enhances cell turnover, allowing the peel to penetrate more effectively.

What to expect:

Plan to be in the office for approximately 45 minutes. During the application, you may feel a warm, tingling sensation that can become more intense at times. Your esthetician may provide a fan to help keep you comfortable throughout the treatment.

Downtime and results:

Peeling typically begins 24 to 36 hours after your appointment. This is a deeper peel, and most patients experience visible peeling that can last up to 7 to 10 days. In some cases, patients may peel less than expected. This is not a negative outcome. It often means your skin is in strong condition, allowing the treatment to work deeper rather than shedding more superficially.

With a series of treatments, this peel can play a key role in improving melasma by helping regulate pigment and gradually brighten the overall complexion.

Brightening Microneedling x 2

This Sharper-exclusive treatment uses microneedling to create controlled microchannels in the skin, allowing targeted solutions to penetrate deeper layers where true correction occurs. This treatment is designed to improve discoloration, uneven tone, and pigmentation concerns such as melasma.

At the time of your treatment, you and your esthetician will decide whether your skin would benefit most from a peptide-based treatment or an exosome-based treatment. This decision is customized, as your skin’s needs can vary depending on its condition at the time of your visit.

Peptide-based treatments support skin repair and improve overall tone and clarity. Exosomes work at a deeper level to enhance regeneration, reduce inflammation, and accelerate healing. For pigmentation concerns, tranexamic acid may be incorporated to help regulate pigment production and support a more even complexion.

What to expect:

Plan to be in the office for approximately two hours. Your visit will begin with a consultation with your esthetician, who will review the treatment, cleanse your skin, and apply a custom topical numbing solution. You will then relax in the salt lounge while the numbing takes effect. The treatment itself is very well tolerated with numbing. Most patients describe a vibrating sensation rather than pain. After the procedure, a calming mask is applied to support healing and reduce inflammation.

Downtime and results:

Following treatment, your skin will appear red and may feel warm and slightly sensitive. Mild peeling can occur as your skin begins to renew. Expect approximately one week of downtime. Visible improvement in tone and brightness is typically seen within one to two weeks, with continued improvement as your skin regenerates.

$200 skincare credit

Medical grade skincare is essential to maintaining and enhancing the results you are working so hard to achieve with your in office treatments. With melasma, consistency matters, but so does timing and adjustment.

There is not one skincare regimen that will be used the entire year. Many of the products used to treat melasma are highly active and are best used in cycles, often for a few months at a time, followed by a period of rest.

Because melasma is dynamic and can change based on factors like hormones, heat, and sun exposure, your skincare needs to evolve with your skin. Your esthetician will guide you through this process, making adjustments along the way to ensure your skin is always being treated appropriately and effectively.
